what is Rent/ Mortgage/ Utility and Other Assistance?

Rent/Mortgage/Utility and Other assistance is a combination of funding sources that provide the core of PPEP’s Emergency Services programs, and is accompanied by Short term Case management services in most situations, along with a referral system to other service providers. Intake for one time payments consists of eligibility determination, assessing the individual/family need and additional referrals if needed for additional services, based on need. Families and individuals eligibility is based on a 30 day income and is only allowed once every 12 months.

The program consists of eligibility determination, assessing other individual/family needs and referral for additional services. Once eligibility is established and if funding is available, the case manager will work on service requests. Based on assessment, the Case Manager will provided 1 to 4 referrals to other agencies or other PPEP programs for other needs/services to begin the process of economic stability and the begin the road to self-sufficiency.
